It’s World Mental Health Day: How Paysera does it

#
Did you know that depression and anxiety disorders are the two most common mental health issues globally? Today is World Mental Health Day, and to shine a light on the complex matter of mental health, we want to share how Paysera helps its employees keep their headspace. Keep reading and learn all about it!

Why we care

It may sound like an old cliché, but here’s a simple truth: Paysera employees ARE Paysera. After all, our brand identity is based on our core belief that the P is for People

We care deeply about our colleagues and their well-being, both physical and mental. Since day one, we integrate our colleagues gently and smoothly and work hard to make everyone feel included, heard, and appreciated for who they are.

But don’t take our word for it – let’s dive into the specific measures that we take.

Hybrid work and work-life balance

Nowadays professional burnout is a common challenge that many companies work hard to combat. Our approach is simple – we prevent the burnout by supporting every employee’s work-life balance.

Through the hybrid work method, Paysera strives to enable employee work preferences without sacrificing the importance of socialisation and bonding with co-workers. In other words, it doesn’t have to be just one or the other – at Paysera you can have both.

If a Paysera employee prefers to work while sunbathing in Bali – more freedom to them!

Not a morning person? Not a problem, all you need to do is communicate your needs with the people you work with and the rest we’ll figure out together!

Workations and holidays

Travelling can give us a different perspective and teach us more about ourselves and others. And when you travel with your colleagues – you get to make precious memories together and develop mutual trust.

Once every second year, every employee gets to choose whether they want to go on a workation, a trip to another Paysera country, or a holiday.

Now, when we talk about a workation or a holiday… We’re referring to the possibility of going to any country in the world! Unless, of course, they’re not tourist-friendly, but you get the point!

As for the trip to another Paysera country, we accommodate our employees to explore working from the Philippines, Bulgaria, Kosovo, Spain, Algeria, and Lithuania. That way, our employees get to experience different cultures not only through travel and tourist destinations, but by blending into local work processes too.

Team buildings and events

The worst that can happen to a company's culture is having employees who feel like they’re just another number in the company. This is the opposite of what Paysera stands for.

You already know about workation and work holiday opportunities with Paysera. However, a trip once every second year is not nearly enough to make employees feel included and happy.

This is why we offer the following:

Monthly team building activities. Anything from laser tag in a forest to perfume-making workshops. Every employee is encouraged to share their suggestions too!

Movie and dinner night. Every second Monday of the month we go out together – Paysera’s treat!

The autumn getaway is meant for teamwork and bonding. Examples of activities include orienteering, tasting events, and more.

Skiing trips every winter. One's skiing experience level doesn’t matter – we’re in great company, and the rest follows naturally!

Personal and professional development is always on the table

Paysera nurtures and supports employee ambition and curiosity – it’s yet another way to help our employees feel fulfilled.

Whether our colleagues wish to improve their soft skills, technical skills, or experience personal growth by being mentors – we have options for all. Additionally, Paysera employees can even request external work-related courses that can be covered by the company.

As you can see, where there’s a will – there’s a way!

We’re hiring!

Naturally, maintaining mental health is not a one-day endeavour and Paysera as a workplace continuously works on making its employees feel welcome, included, and happy. And we’re working hard to do even more!

If you’re interested in being part of our friendly and caring work community, join us – we’re hiring!
